Executive
Board
Details

The Executive Board consists of elected Officers and appointed Chairmen. The principal Officers are President, Vice-President(s), and Secretary/Treasurer (or Secretary and Treasurer), elected in the Spring for two-year terms, with ballot by mail. Our Chapter Bylaws state that only Regular Members of the chapter may vote and hold office; this excludes Student Members. Duties are:

President Presides at all Chapter & Board meetings and may appoint chairs as needed.
Vice-President Acts in the absence of the President.  Is in charge of general chapter programming.
Recording Secretary Responsible for all secretarial duties, which includes taking minutes at meetings and keeping records.
Treasurer Receives and disburses the funds of the chapter, maintaining banking accounts, keeping records of financial transactions, and making reports at meetings.
Newsletter Chair Issues chapter newsletters and email notices.
Membership Chair Maintains records of membership and produces rosters.
Webmaster Maintains the content of the chapter website.

Unless otherwise requested, all Events and Ads submitted will also be submitted to the newsletter.

Calendar Events
To list your individual Events on our Calendar eMail us at events@scvharp.org and put "event" in the subject line.  Events must be submitted by the last day of the month to be included in the next update, usually monthly.  Events will include the basic information; please include contact information or website where further information may be found.

Member Ads
To post your Member Ads on our Ad Page eMail us at ads@scvharp.org and put "ads" in the subject line. Ads will remain on the website for 2 months, unless otherwise arranged with the webmaster.  Ads must be submitted by the last day of the month to be included in the next update, usually monthly.  Editing is our prerogative to reflect consistency of formatting or spacing.




How to Join
SCVCAHS

New Members are always welcome to join in!

  • Membership is from September 1 - August 31.
  • Dues are usually collected in September of each year. 
  • If you wish to join mid-year, contact the Membership Chair.

Except for Students, you must also be a member of the National AHS. Visit  www.harpsociety.org to join the National AHS.
